This is a legal statement revoking the attorney's powers from
any given date. Suitable to revoke a general power of
attorney only
About this document
A power of attorney is used to allow someone else to look after your affairs when you are unable to do so yourself. Most people will need one at some stage. The power of attorney document does need to be registered in South Africa. It must also be revoked in the correct way. It can be revoked at any time. The only way to reverse the powers subscribed is to revoke it officially using this document. The only other way the power will end is on the completion of the task you subscribed to the Attorney.
It is necessary to inform the attorney(s) of the revocation as the attorney's authority does not cease until he or she receives notice of the revocation. A copy of the Deed of Revocation should be sent to each attorney.
