When to use:
Health and safety legislation requires all employers to operate a safe system of work. One way of discharging this duty is to implement rules and regulations, training and other systems which aim to prevent accidents.
There are two good reasons to buy these documents.
First, Net Lawman has drawn a set of Fire Safety document templates to create for you a low cost route to compliance. As with all such documents, simply completing a form does not automatically mean you have complied. If you have a legal claim, or an employment claim, or simply a visit from your insurer, it will be difficult for anyone to say you have failed to comply, if these documents are in place.
Second, if you have the documents in place, it is very easy to diarise ahead a few months and update them. You can turn another piece of mind boggling red tape into a 30 minute task. (Note however, that in law, the duty is ongoing and requires constant monitoring!)
ZA-HSE047 Fire risk assessment action plan
This document allows an employer to list all the risks in a single document which can then be used to carry out further assessment.
ZA-HSE047 includes provisions for the following:
- identifies the person responsible for carrying out the assessment
- details of the action to be taken in light of the risk identified
- nominates a person who is then responsible for taking the appropriate action to reduce the risk
- nominates a target date by which the risk should have been seriously reduced, if not alleviated
- details the actual date the risk was reduced / removed
